PURPOSE AND VALUES

Purpose

Youth Ballet WA exists to nurture and develop passionate young dancers through exceptional pre-professional training, preparing them for successful careers in the performing arts both nationally and internationally. As a leading vocational ballet school in Western Australia, we are committed to inspiring a lifelong love of dance while playing an important role in shaping the future of our local and national dance community.
We achieve this by delivering high-quality training that balances strong technical foundations with artistry, performance experience and holistic care. Our programs are supported by experienced educators in a positive, inclusive and disciplined environment that encourages confidence, resilience and creativity. Through performance opportunities, accessible training pathways and a commitment to excellence, Youth Ballet WA empowers dancers to grow into adaptable, expressive and industry-ready artists of the future

Values

EXCELLENCE We empower and promote excellence in ballet training, academic studies and professional preparation, personal growth and accomplishment. INCLUSION We provide a welcoming, supportive and respectful learning environment where every young dancer, regardless of background, culture, gender or ability has equal access to high-quality ballet training and the opportunity to thrive. WELLBEING Wellbeing is at the heart of our training, supporting each dancer’s physical health, mental resilience and personal confidence through safe dance practices, positive education, and a nurturing studio environment.
We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn and dance today, the Whadjuk Noongar people, and pay our respects to Elders past and present
