Ballet Auditions in Perth – Full-Time and After-School Programs
Entry into Youth Ballet WA’s full-time and after-school ballet programs is by audition and appointment only. Auditions are open to students aged 8–18 years who are interested in high-quality, pre-professional ballet training in Perth, Western Australia.
Second-Round Ballet Auditions for 2027Due to the high level of interest in our 2027 programs, Youth Ballet WA is pleased to announce a second round of ballet auditions.
Places are limited, so families are encouraged to submit their audition application forms as soon as possible.

About the AuditionOur ballet auditions are designed to identify young dancers who demonstrate the potential, commitment, discipline and physical aptitude required for vocational and pre-professional ballet training.
Applicants will participate in a classical ballet class appropriate to their age and current level of training. Auditions may also be arranged by appointment throughout the year, subject to program availability.
Selection CriteriaApplicants are assessed on their:
Natural physical facilityClassical ballet techniqueCoordination and musicalitySense of rhythmFocus, discipline and ability to follow instructionsPotential and aptitude for vocational ballet training Additional AssessmentsAs part of the selection process, applicants may be asked to complete an occupational therapy or allied health assessment at their own cost. Details of Youth Ballet WA’s recommended practitioner are available from our administration office.
